28 March: Field measurements:
Group 1, Cerro Negro volcano: fumarole sampling
Group 2, Massaya volcano: plume sampling, remote sensing
Group 3, Massaya volcano: diffuse degassing
Group 4, Cerro Negro volcano: plume sampling, remote sensing, diffuse degassing
29 March: Field measurements on Masaya volcano in morning (all groups), followed by a bit of tourism and a group dinner in Granada in the evening.
**Note: people are free to move between groups (except for Momotombo).
30 March: Travel to Costa Rica, spend the rest of the day informally discussing techniques, usefulness, problems, etc.
31 March: Fieldwork on Poas volcano for all groups.
1 April: Participants split into informal groups in the morning, then summarize activities over the past several days to the group as a whole in the afternoon. Goals are to assess state-of-the-art, future developments, and appropriate gas monitoring approaches.
2 April: End of workshop, people return home, attend training course (see below), or work independently.
